· Responsible for Health & Beauty and Baby Needs departments at 3 different store formats
· Develop and execute category strategies that align with overall business goals and objectives, this includes defining assortment, pricing, and promotional strategy.
· Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure the availability and competitiveness of products within the category.
· Manage the selection of products within the category, ensuring that the assortment is competitive, up-to-date, and meets customer needs.
· Set and adjust pricing strategies within the category to maximize profitability and competitiveness.
· Plan and execute promotional activities, marketing campaigns, and advertising initiatives to drive category sales and awareness.
· Monitor and optimize inventory levels within the category to minimize stockouts, overstock situations, and associated costs.
· Analyse category performance and market trends to make informed decisions and use data-driven insights to continually improve category strategies.
· Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, and operations to ensure smooth execution of category strategies.
· Manage the category budget, ensuring that expenses are within allocated limits and justify expenditures effectively.
· Maintain a productive relationship with suppliers that are mutually beneficial.
· Ensuring right selection, availability, of products in respective category via effective communications and cooperative relationship with suppliers
