Accomplishments

  • Successfully serving as a team lead in UNICEF education programme. On this role I provide technical support across four portfolios namely the Reading Recovery Programme (RRP), Accelerated Learning Program (ALP), the Learning Bridges Initiative (LB), the National Diagnostic Assessment (NDA) and Teachers of the Future (TOF).
  • Led the review and development of the RRP curriculum, training content and plans and screening, diagnostic and summative assessment material. I advocated for and secured the timely approval of these materials from the MOE.
  • Contributed to the development of Jordans National Diagnostic Assessment for grades 2 to11, analysed results, wrote reports and trained stakeholders to use the NDA results for decision making at national and school levels.
  • Prepared the for Pre-service and In-service Teacher training frame-work and Materials in Arabic Language with the MOE education philosophy and international standard for teacher education.
  • Adapted the Jordanian Arabic Language curriculum from an outcome-based curriculum to a standards-based curriculum.
  • Over a period of four years, participated in quality assuring the use and application of Jordans Teacher Standards for students teacher to pass the diploma
  • Demonstrated the possibility of using the Jordanian curriculum in teaching the international curriculum.
  • As part of the school leadership team contributed to raising standards and learning outcomes of children, which led to an outstanding rating for the school.
  • Initiated and led the implementation of extra-curricular activities and demonstrating their importance in developing students' skills.
