Green Action in Enterprises (GAIN) Project

• Leading engagement activities with industrial estates to promote sustainable resource management, including the design of a rainwater harvesting pilot aimed at reducing water consumption.
• Main focal point to all communication modes and management of technical visits with companies and relevant industrial partners. (established engagement with over 110 companies).
• Coordinating of a green policy and circularity contract while managing portion related to research, development and piloting of new business cases for Jordan's Industrial sector on green topics ( E.g, PET Recycling, stone cutting wastewater, sustainable packaging).
• Proactively supporting of follow-up data collection process (environmental and social impact), while drawing up newsletters and other communication materials that are crucial to shaping of project's results and impacts with a range of stakeholders.
• Diligently assisting in international and national tendering processes, higher level visits, and on-boarding of colleagues. In particular taken initiative to provide additional support ensuring smooth transition during output leadership change.
• Assisting in adapting wastewater-treatment-plant Technical Sustainable Management (TSM) system to the Industrial sector.
• Collaborating with partners and stakeholders to ensure productive and timely activities progression (i.e public sector, private sector, Academia, public Industrial actors, associations and think tanks).

• Managed industrial wastewater management activity and assisted in other Environmental based activities, collaborating with partners and stakeholders to ensure productive and timely activities progression. (Supporting 9 industrial Companies)
• Diligently assisting in technical implementation of project activities in private sector efficiency promotion on topics such as textile circularity and Environmental, social and governance auditing and women empowerment within Jordan's industrial sector. (in over 50 companies).
• Conducting market research on various topics related to Solid Waste and wastewater Management including socio-economic and environmental data, green policies and international best practices (E.g, PET Recycling).
• Conducting and facilitating visits and meetings with Industries ensuring successful implementation of missions.

• Contribution to technical implementation of project activities in private sector resource efficiency promotion such as textile circularity and eco-industrial parks. (5 business cases on textile circularity developed)
• Conceptualizing and writing drafts of international terms of reference for upcoming project activities; for instance, for industrial wastewater activity.
• Researching on various topics related to green industrial transition in Jordan, including socio-economic and Environmental data, green policies and international best practices, likewise green production methods, recycling opportunities or national and international regulations.
• Assisting staff in various activities on contents and forms for editorial publications, surveys, orientation frameworks, translations, contact establishment and business, for example, Green Industry Sector Analysis of Jordan.

• Partnered with engineering department to support in implementation processes of special projects. ( e.g, solar panel instillation).
• Performed environmental site assessments and provided remediation recommendations. (e.g water, resources consumptions, plastic waste reuse)
• Drafted documents and environmental assessment reports for management review.
• Prepared business correspondence and technical letters to local chambers, funds and international development organizations.

Supported in the "reducing waste resulting from human errors" project with emphasis on:

• Participated in continuous improvement by generating suggestions, engaging in problem-solving approaches to reduce waste. (Packaging waste reduced by 25% in one production line).
• Creation and establishment of performance dashboard.
• Systems and production lines analysis.
• Used critical thinking to break down problems and evaluate solutions.
• Used coordination and planning skills to achieve results according to schedule.

Supported in area of "Green Production", an initiative for sustainable vehicle production. with emphasis on:

• Green Production target system analysis and Identification of areas where development is needed.
• Creation and establishment of performance dashboard covering project implementation teams across 5 countries.
• Creation of benchmark study comparing competitors' public data on volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
• Developing concept for internal communication of Green Production.
• Supported creation of measures' technical reports to communicate research status and outcomes to higher management.

volunteering as a researcher with the R&D department. Researching Topics included:

• Recent and older composting techniques and Chemical balances in composting.

• Water and wastewater networks designing via WaterCAD and SewerCAD.
• Practiced designing irrigation networks and Training on IDF curves analysis.
• Development and completion of analysis and design for storm networks.
• Analyzing EIA, EISA and ESDD reports.
