Work History

Medical Student

Hashemite University
09.2019 - Current

Throughout my medical education, I completed extensive clinical rotations in over five hospitals spanning the governmental, military, and private sectors across Jordan. These rotations provided comprehensive exposure to various medical specialties, including: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Otolaryngology, Psychiatry, Ophthalmology, Forensic Medicine, Radiology, Family Medicine, Urology and Dermatology.

Engaging in these rotations enabled me to acquire invaluable experience in clinical settings, including proficiency in obtaining patient histories, conducting physical examinations, and identifying medical emergencies. I developed a keen ability to recognize familial diseases and most prescribed drugs specific to each specialty, as well as to discern medical patterns and make spot diagnoses. Moreover, the diversity of hospitals across Jordan provided me with the opportunity to interact with patients from varied backgrounds, traditions, cultures, and nationalities, since Jordan has a diverse population. This exposure enhanced my ability to effectively communicate and empathize with individuals from diverse socio-cultural contexts, enriching my understanding of patient care in a multicultural environment. Additionally, I served as the Clinical Rotation Coordinator (CRC) for my clinical group for a duration of two years. In this role, I effectively organized and managed the logistics of our clinical rotations on a weekly basis. As the primary liaison between my colleagues and the supervising physicians, I facilitated communication and ensured seamless coordination throughout the rotation period.

My responsibilities as CRC encompassed various tasks, including:

- Coordinating the timing and location of our clinical rotations to optimize efficiency and productivity.

- Acting as the conduit between my colleagues and the attending physicians, addressing any queries or concerns that arose during the rotations.

- Assuming accountability for all aspects of our hospital training, including disseminating essential information to my group members regarding each rotation's objectives, supervising physicians, meeting locations, and examination details.

- Monitoring attendance and providing support to colleagues who were absent or encountering difficulties, fostering a supportive and cohesive learning environment within the group.

By fulfilling the role of CRC, I demonstrated strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, contributing to the smooth functioning of our clinical rotations and enhancing the educational experience for all members of my clinical group.
