  • Responsible for all audio equipment such as microphones and sound mixers as well as all audio matters for the studio.
  • Ensuring that the students are using the equipment correctly was a part of my job description as well studio maintenance.
  • Familiar and beyond comfortable with all consoles and mixers available at SAE such as the Yamaha O2R, AMS Neve 88RS, Avid ICON D-Control, UAD Apollo, and more.
  • Scanning equipment in and out used by the students or customers through a specific software system were a part of my daily tasks during my time there.
  • Responsible for installing equipment and running maintenance when needed for all classes and lectures on campus.
  • Handled all of the requirements for SAE’s events such as conferences and meetings which required recording amongst other tasks.

  • Participated in Jordan’s first film festival as a live sound engineer handling 4 stages at the same time as well as screening all films and adjusting all of the technicalities needed for each project.
  • We were able to screen around 100 films and host 50 guests as they discuss art in all of its forms as well as human rights issues accompanying countless parallel events such as workshops, music concerts, talks, and discussions aiming to create a safe space where people freely have a conversation about everything happening within the region’s art industry.

  • Amro has established himself as a rising star within his local community through his events under the name Vortex, gigs, and his collaborations with regional artists and producers. From doing small weekly gigs to representing his country on a Boiler Room live event “System Restart Festival” alongside Lil Asaf, also known as Bashar Suleiman, as they premiered some of the music they’ll be releasing under several label companies from Europe such as France’s Abime, England’s DIY, and Palestine’s Bilna’es.
  • MAAL, Amro’s alias as a producer, is already leaving his very own fingerprint in the music industry sonically and his second to none production, mixing, and mastering abilities for Lil Asaf and many other artists.
  • Participated in countless events locally and regionally as a DJ and a sound engineer which allowed him to reach a solid understanding of the music industry as a whole along with the knowledge he acquired by surrounding himself with production, history, and aesthetics of many contemporary genres.
